Many countries around the globe have reported incidences of infection caused by the Coronavirus which having made its debut and raised its ugly head in the bustling city of Wuhan China, a city of approximately 11 million souls.
I in no way or manner whatsoever have the intension of disrespecting the families and love ones of those who have fallen ill or worst, have lost their lives on account of the Coronavirus.
The Coronavirus at present is the newest virus on the block. It follows after other members of the virus family such as SARS and MERS, each having relatively high death rates, 10 percent for SARS and approximately 35 percent for MERS.
Upon learning that a new virus was in our environment, new stats began dribbling out from the Chinese Nation. It appears that it had sometime to develop there in China before the rest of the world was informed of its presents. This is not to say that it was covered up; perhaps, those in Wuhan believed it to be just another occurrence of a seasonal flu which would dissipate shortly.
It is now known that this new Coronavirus is not a joking or small matter. The Coronavirus to date has taken the lives of more than 130 people and has sickened approximately 8,000 world wide. the seemingly host city Of Wuhan appears on television to have become a ghost town. Citizens are hidden behind closed doors, schools are closed and the shops of most merchants are seeing no business whatsoever. The Chinese government in a mad rush is attempting to erect several hospitals in record time. I have served in the U.S. Army Engineers and have never witnessed so many pieces of engineering equipment working the same plot of land at the same time. The rush to get these hospitals up gives one the feeling of intense imminent danger.
All of this appears to be man’s latest ogre which has surreptitiously entered the lives of many and is seemingly ending the lives of many, that is, if a cure cannot be found shortly.
In light of all of these fearful goings on, one might be wondering, why was this article entitled …”Coronavirus, The Sissy Disease”
Mankind has been tiptoeing through the tulips for too long. Any catastrophe that strikes us, makes us think that we are on the very brink of Armageddon. We as mankind have had scores and scores of setbacks, wars, famines and many outbreaks of illnesses, but what many do not realize is that we as humanity are unknowingly awaiting the motherload of mortal catastrophe. When this promised motherload is dropped on us, those that are left to undergo it will not even think of the days of Coronavirus. If one could recall it, they will refer to it as a slight temporary inconvenience, a little sissy of an event. They then will wish that they could trade places immediately.
As Jesus informed folks over 2,000 years ago…
